Anton graduated with a Bachelor of Journalism (Hons.) in Photojournalism and Political Studies from Rhodes University in 2012. He started his career as a freelance photojournalist and documentary photographer but found himself increasingly drawn toward the moving image. After some time spent assisting and observing on film sets, as well as filming projects of his own, he began working as a cinematographer and all-round DIY filmmaker.

In 2018 he co-founded the production company Exploded View Films, which became a key driver of both creative and commercial projects.
His current filmography consists of documentaries, narrative short films, commercials, music videos and experimental work.

As of 2020, Anton began to focus on honing his skills as a director and cinematographer of both fiction and non-fiction film, with a particular interest in the area where the two overlap. His background informs a sensitive and unique visual perspective; a keen awareness of light and shadow and a quiet empathy with the many faces of the human condition. 

In his spare time and on his travels he makes analogue photographs in order to engage, disengage and (hopefully) stay sane.
He is available for both film and photography commissions anywhere on planet earth.
